Last week:Louisa beat visiting Monticello 45-6; Orange got a 42-8 home win against Western Albemarle.
Tonight’s game:Last week, RB Savion Hiter went off for 242 total yards and four touchdowns as the Lions scored 45 unanswered points before Monticello got on the scoreboard. QB Caleb Brady passed for 160 yards and a score as Louisa put up 448 total yards. The Hornets allowed 164 passing yards, but had four interceptions, two returned for scores in their win. They also held Western Albemarle to 25 yards rushing. That rushing defensive effort would be huge against the Lions' rushing attack, but Louisa's Dyzier Carter makes their passing game formidable as well. Both Hiter and Orange RB Dwayne Wells are averaging over 130 yards rushing over their last four games. ... Last year, Jayden Seaberry went off, rushing for 227 yards and three touchdowns in the Lions' win. The senior is currently the teams' second leading rusher. ... Louisa has a 17-3 lead in the series since 2004, with Orange's last win in 2008.

NORTH STAFFORD (4-1) at RIVERBEND (3-2), 7 p.m.
Last meeting:Riverbend won 41-20 on Oct. 6, 2023.
Last week:Riverbend won 13-12 at Mountain View; North Stafford beat visiting Eastern View 38-21.
Tonight’s game:Last week, JoJo Thomas ran for two scores in the third quarter and finished with 120 yards on the ground, and the Bears only passed twice in their district win. The defense held Mountain View to 22 yards on the ground, but gave up 190 yard and two scoring passed. It was almost a mirror image for the Wolverines' defense, which held Eastern View to -1 rushing yard, but allowed 272 passing yards and two scoring passes. However, on offense North Stafford QB Chase Sullivan passing for 236 yards and three scores. Micah Brown added a rushing and passing score. ... Last year, Thomas ran for 152 yards and the first four touchdowns of the game as Riverbend rolled to a 41-0 lead before the Wolverines got three late touchdowns. North Stafford has won four straight, while the Bears have alternated wins and losses this season. ... The Wolverines lead the all-time series 8-7, but Riverbend has won the last three meetings.
FRIDAY’S OTHER GAMES
CAROLINE (4-1) at CHANCELLOR (1-4), 7 p.m.
Last week, Chancellor got its first win, 21-12 at James Monroe behind three touchdown passes from QB Leo Ferguson, two of which went to Logan Hunter. Caroline scored 13 unanswered points in the second half to beat Culpeper 26-21. RB Vlad Joacin Jr. got back on track with 158 yards and two scores on the ground. ... Last year, Joacin had 219 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, but a fourth quarter touchdown pass gave the Chargers a 22-21 win. ... All-time series: Chancellor leads 25-7.
COURTLAND (3-2) at SPOTSYLVANIA (2-3), 7 p.m.
Last week, Courtland lost 41-20 on its blue turf to King George. In a change from the norm, the Cougars were held to 18 rushing yards, but QB Chieftain Watson passed for 174 yards and a score. Spotsylvania had a bye last week, but is coming off its second straight win, 39-14 at Chancellor. RB Manny Duah has been the man for the Knights this season. In the two wins, the senior has totaled 279 yards and four touchdowns rushing, and 63 yards and one score receiving. ... Last year, Courtland forced three turnovers, and Marcus LaRue Jr. and Christian Olivella combined for three rushing touchdowns in a 45-0 home victory ... All-time series: Courtland leads 35-9.
EASTERN VIEW (3-2) at JAMES MONROE (2-3), 7 p.m.
Last week, North Stafford pulled away in the second half to beat Eastern View 38-21. Despite the loss, QB AP Hull threw for 272 and two scores, and scored another on the ground while suffering to -29 rushing yards. Deondre Brock added 111 receiving yards and a score. James Monroe dropped its second straight, 21-12 to visiting Chancellor, since opening its Battlefield District schedule. The Yellow Jackets were held to 148 total yards in that game. In the two losses, JM's passing game has struggled to just 122 yards, as opposed to the 689 it had in its opening three games. ... Last year, the Cyclones won 58-7 behind a combined 247 yards and six touchdowns from Hull and RB Jaheim Frye. ... All-time series: Eastern View leads 8-3, winning the last seven meetings.
CULPEPER (2-3) at KING GEORGE (3-2), 7 p.m.
Last week, Culpeper got shutout in the second half of a 26-21 loss to visiting Caroline. The Blue Devils caused three turnovers, but also turned it over three times. Riley Vinyard leads the team on the ground, while Jeremiah Johnson is behind center. QB Dylan Koch passed for 204 yards and was held without a scoring pass for the first time this season, but the ground game did the scoring for King George in a 41-20 win at Courtland. The Foxes had five rushing scores, three by Charles Johnson, who also had 10 tackles on defense. Koch is second in the area in passing yards and touchdowns. ... Last year, King George passed for six touchdowns in a 54-0 road win. ... All-time series: Culpeper leads 15-8, but the Foxes have won the last five meetings.
BROOKE POINT (3-3) at MASSAPONAX (1-5), 7 p.m.
Last week, Brooke Point lost a 63-56 thriller at Stafford. QB Gabriel Dombek, the area's leading passing, throw for 456 yards and two scores and ran for another. Jacob Dalton led the receiving corps with 215 yards and a score in the win. Massaponax lost its fifth straight, 49-16 at Colonial Forge. The Panthers were missing two starters and QB Ian Shook left injured in the loss. Shook and leading RB Josiah Perry will be back this week. ... Last year, Massaponax won 30-20, Shook led the ground game and had a scoring pass. ... All-time series: Massaponax leads 18-9.
WESTMORELAND (3-2) at COLONIAL BEACH (1-4), 7 p.m.
Last week, the Eagles beat Madison County 47-40 behind QB Jordan Tolson's 321-yard and five-touchdown passing effort. Colonial Beach got 92 rushing yards from leading rusher Jay'lon Butler, but lost 21-0 to visiting West Point. ... Last year, The Drifters scored twice in the fourth quarter to win 40-36. ... All-time series: The Eagles lead 21-7-1.
SATURDAY'S GAMES

Last week, Fork Union Military Academy lost its third in a row, 44-8 to St. Christopher's. FCS won 48-0 at Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy. RB Christian Ray ran for a season-best 206 yards and scored three times for the second straight week. QB Trip Blalock its also dangerous in the passing game. ...FUMA won 42-22 last year in the teams' first-ever meeting.
FRIENDSHIP COLLEGIATE (4-1)
vs. SAINT MICHAEL (5-1), 5:30(At Riverbend H.S.)
Last week, Saint Michael was on a bye. Two weeks ago, the Warriors won their third straight 40-17 against Episcopal in QB Austin Mawyer's third game as a starter. Mawyer passed for 234 yards and three scores in the win. RB Marcus Ferguson Jr. leads the ground game and Josh Jackson leads the defense.FCA is coming off its first loss, 14-6 to St. John's (D.C.).... FCA won 28-21 last year in the teams' first meeting.
