NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (2024)

With hours until the NBA trade deadline, here’s the latest intel on all 30 teams gathered by HoopsHype. This story will be updated with any new intel as the deadline nears.

Atlanta Hawks

Following the OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam trades, many around the league believed the next big domino to fall would be Hawks guard Dejounte Murray.

Leading up to the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers have been the top suitor for Murray, league sources told HoopsHype. However, talks involving D’Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino and the Lakers’ 2029 first-round pick have stalled with Atlanta unwilling to take back Russell while prioritizing expiring contracts to avoid the luxury tax next season.

Elsewhere, the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks have both expressed interest in acquiring Murray, sources said, but for a lesser cost than what Atlanta wants.

The Knicks have Evan Fournier’s expiring contract, a future first-round pick to dangle along with Quentin Grimes, a player coveted by the Hawks, league sources told HoopsHype. However, New York has been rolling since the acquisition of Anunoby and some within the organization question the fit of Murray next to Jalen Brunson.

The Nets can dangle Spencer Dinwiddie’s expiring contract and a future protected first-round pick. Despite Dinwiddie unlikely to return to Brooklyn next season, according to league sources, the Nets haven’t overwhelmingly made a strong push to land Murray.

Despite some reported speculation, the Nets haven’t had substantive conversations with the Lakers and Hawks about joining as a third team to take on Russell’s contract, HoopsHype has learned.

The New Orleans Pelicans have also become a dark horse player in the Murray sweepstakes and have expressed interest in the Hawks guard.

With less than 24 hours until the deadline, It remains to be seen if the Lakers can find that third team to take on Russell’s contract and facilitate a trade to land Murray.

It’s also worth noting that Murray has a 15 percent trade kicker in his contract, which is unlikely to be waived to help facilitate a trade, HoopsHype has learned.

The theme with the teams most notably connected to Murray is that none have been able or willing to discuss more than one first-round pick while Atlanta is holding out for at least two first-round picks.

Atlanta can wait until the offseason to move Murray while looking to duck the luxury tax for next season with the hope of a larger market developing. It’s a scenario rival executives believe is gaining more traction as the deadline nears.

Boston Celtics

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (2)

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Celtics have been active in the trade market looking to fortify their bench ahead of a potential championship run, and have acquired Xavier Tillman from the Memphis Grizzlies.

Boston has also gauged the market on packaging some of their minimum contract players, such as Svi Mykhailiuk and Dalano Banton, along with future draft pick compensation, for potential defensive wing upgrades, league sources told HoopsHype.

Boston had expressed interest in a wide range of trade targets, including Kelly Olynyk, Delon Wright, Andre Drummond, and others, league sources told HoopsHype. With Tillman in the fold, the need for a frontcourt addition seemingly decreased for Boston.

Boston has also been linked to Kris Dunn, Otto Porter, Lonnie Walker, and others, as noted in our Celtics rumors page.

Brooklyn Nets

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (3)

Harry How/Getty Images

The Brooklyn Nets have three players who are considered prime trade candidates hours ahead of the deadline: Dorian Finney-Smith, Royce O’Neale, and Spencer Dinwiddie.

Rival executives continue to believe a first-round pick and a rotation player is suitable for Finney-Smith – who’s owed $14.9 million next season with a $15.37 million player option for the 2025-26 season – and multiple second-round picks can be had for O’Neale, who’s entering unrestricted free agency this summer.

O’Neale has drawn trade interest from the Rockets and Cavaliers recently, league sources told HoopsHype. The Suns have also remained in the mix to land O’Neale. Nassir Little and multiple second-round picks have been dangled in trade talks for O’Neale, league sources told HoopsHype. Other teams who’ve circled the wagon on O’Neale include the Lakers, Mavericks, Nuggets, Pacers, Kings, and Bucks.

For the Nets to part with Finney-Smith, it would take a future first-round pick starting in 2025 or beyond that has a chance to be a potential Top 20 pick along with a rotation player, league sources told HoopsHype. The Nets are not interested in a late first-round pick nor a pick in the 2024 NBA Draft in any trade talks for Finney-Smith.

Finney-Smith has drawn significant interest on the trade market, including several playoff-caliber teams such as the Lakers, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Bucks, Thunder, Suns and Kings.

Dinwiddie has drawn interest from the Hawks and Lakers in trade talks.

Perhaps Dejounte Murray for a package involving Dinwiddie and a protected first-round pick could entice the Nets to trade for the former All-Star guard, who’s owed up to $120.1 million over the next four years. However, it’s worth noting the Hawks have entered the week seeking two first-round picks in exchange for Murray, and he also has a 15 percent trade kicker in his contract.

In addition, despite some reported speculation, the Nets haven’t had substantive conversations with the Lakers and Hawks about joining as a third team to take on Russell’s contract, HoopsHype has learned.

Dinwiddie, a Los Angeles, California native who’ll be an unrestricted free agent this summer, grew up a huge Kobe Bryant and Lakers fan.

As HoopsHype reported, Dinwiddie is unlikely to be a long-term piece beyond this season, league sources said. Should he remain with the Nets past the deadline, he’s not taking a buyout, as he publicly tweeted.

Charlotte Hornets

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (4)

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The Hornets plan to build around LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Mark Williams for the future, while looking to trade veterans Gordon Hayward and Kyle Lowry on expiring contracts for future draft picks, ideally, in potential salary dumps with other teams.

PJ Washington has also come up in trade talks with the Clippers and Mavericks among others. Charlotte and Dallas have discussed different concepts around Washington involving a potential first-round pick, league sources told HoopsHype. Should Charlotte take on Richaun Holmes, the Hornets want an unprotected first-round pick from Dallas, which the Mavericks want to protect. Seth Curry has also come up in conversations.

Dallas has also discussed Grant Williams as a trade chip in talks with several other teams, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Williams comes up during talks for Washington with Charlotte.

Chicago Bulls

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (5)

Michael Reaves/Getty Images

Andre Drummond is the top Bulls trade candidate in the eyes of rival executives who spoke with HoopsHype. Drummond has drawn trade interest from the 76ers, Celtics, Mavericks, Lakers and Suns, league sources told HoopsHype. The Rockets also considered making a run at Drummond before acquiring Steven Adams.

While Drummond is the most likely Bull to be traded, Alex Caruso has drawn the most trade interest across the league. However, Caruso is expected to remain in Chicago, barring the team’s asking price dropping of two first-round picks or more.

Cleveland Cavaliers

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (6)

Nick Cammett/Getty Images

Cleveland has recently checked in on Brooklyn’s trio of Dorian Finney-Smith, Royce O’Neale, and Lonnie Walker.

As noted in our last HoopsHype intel piece, One Cavalier to monitor ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline is former No. 5 overall pick Isaac Okoro. The 6-foot-5 wing is eligible for an $11.8 million qualifying offer this summer, which would make him a restricted free agent.

One general manager who spoke with HoopsHype already believes Okoro can get around $14 million annually –- which would be more than the full non-taxpayer mid-level exception – thanks to his improved 3-point shooting while also being an All-Defensive team candidate, as teammate Donovan Mitchell recently noted.

In order to retain Okoro and keep the rest of their roster intact, the Cavaliers now have to consider their appetite for going into the tax for the 2024-25 season amid uncertainty surrounding Mitchell’s long-term future in Cleveland.

With that in mind, Okoro is expected to draw interest at the trade deadline. The Knicks, Hawks, Pacers, Suns and Bucks are all teams to closely monitor as all are known to have interest in acquiring a two-way wing, league sources told HoopsHype.

Dallas Mavericks

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (7)

Sam Hodde/Getty Images

The Dallas Mavericks have been actively working the phones ahead of the trade deadline, seeking upgrades at the four and three.

Dallas has expressed interest in forwards Kyle Kuzma, Jerami Grant, and PJ Washington, most notably. While Portland has implied it’ll keep Grant, and Kuzma’s price tag is likely too high for the Mavericks now, Washington is potentially in play.

Dallas and Charlotte have discussed different concepts around Washington involving a potential first-round pick, league sources told HoopsHype.

The Mavericks have also expressed interest in trading for Bruce Brown to upgrade their wing position, sources said.

Lastly, Dallas attempted to trade for Knicks guard Quentin Grimes in talks that primarily centered around Josh Green, but that overture was rejected by New York, league sources told HoopsHype.

Denver Nuggets

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (8)

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Nuggets have inquired about making potential moves around the edges, such as acquiring Wizards guard Delon Wright. However, most rival executives think Denver will stand pat through the deadline.

Detroit Pistons

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (9)

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Pistons were actively engaged in trade talks surrounding Bojan Bogdanovic with the 76ers and Alec Burks with the Knicks on Wednesday, league sources told HoopsHype.

Talks involving Bogdanovic and Philadelphia stalled towards the night, and it’s unclear if they’ll be revived in the morning. Discussions of Burks returning to New York remain in play, league sources said.

The Pistons also remain engaged with the Grizzlies on a potential Killian Hayes trade with the sticking point second-round draft pick compensation, league sources told HoopsHype.

Danilo Gallinari has drawn interest from the Lakers, among others, and is a candidate to be flipped before the deadline.

Golden State Warriors

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (10)

Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

While being outside of the Play-In Tournament by a game in the standings, the Golden State Warriors have been directed to remain competitive instead of doing a lateral trade or salary dump to save money, league sources told HoopsHype.

Golden State remains resistant to discussing Jonathan Kuminga in trade talks, league sources told HoopsHype. While Andrew Wiggins and Chris Paul have discussed in trade talks, the growing sense is the Warriors believe they can turn the season around with improved production from Wiggins and a healthy return for Paul.

Houston Rockets

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (11)

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Following an aggressive pursuit of Nets forward Mikal Bridges, as first reported by HoopsHype, the Houston Rockets expressed interest in another Nets player, league sources told HoopsHype – Royce O’Neale.

Meanwhile, Houston swingman Jae’Sean Tate has drawn interest from several teams with the Rockets seeking either a late first-round pick or multiple second-round picks to consider parting with Tate, league sources told HoopsHype. Tate has been one of Rafael Stone’s notable finds as a diamond in the rough from the Sydney Kings who’s become a proven NBA rotation player.

Rockets point guard Aaron Holiday has also drawn trade interest from teams looking for backup point guard depth, HoopsHype has learned. Holiday is shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc for the second season in a row.

Acquiring any potential draft compensation could eventually be flipped as part of a trade to acquire another rotation player.

Speaking of assets to help Houston acquire another player, center Jock Landale remains available on the trade market as a useful asset thanks to his tradeable contract, as noted on our Rockets salaries page.

Indiana Pacers

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (12)

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers have aggressively gauged the trade market on Buddy Hield, who’s in the final year of his contract at $19.28 million, league sources told HoopsHype.

Throughout Wednesday, the Pacers and 76ers most notably discussed different proposals around Hield, but neither side could agree on his value. As of Wednesday night, the two sides were far apart, HoopsHype has learned.

While Hield is the primary trade candidate ahead of the trade deadline, rival executives also believe Indiana will break up its glut of forwards, including Obi Toppin and Jalen Smith. Toppin is eligible for restricted free agency this summer and Smith has a $5.41 million player option for next season.

The Pacers are expected to re-sign Pascal Siakam this summer to a long-term deal and Indiana has continued to tell rival teams that they want to keep Jarace Walker and believe he’s part of the future, league sources told HoopsHype.

Los Angeles Clippers

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (13)

Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

The biggest name the Los Angeles Clippers have been linked to is Hornets forward PJ Washington, but the Dallas Mavericks appear to be the more aggressive suitor to this point.

It’s worth noting Charlotte has expressed trade interest in Clippers guard Bones Hyland, who’s available for two second-round picks, as HoopsHype previously reported.

Hyland was previously acquired by the Clippers for two second-round picks as part of a four-team deal with the Nuggets, Magic, and Lakers last year. As previously reported by HoopsHype, the Clippers are gauging the market on Hyland and reserve forward PJ Tucker.

After losing James Harden’s first five games following the trade, the Clippers have gone 31-9 since and seemingly aren’t feeling pressure to make a trade.

Los Angeles Lakers

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (14)

Kiyoshi Mio-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to former All-Stars Dejounte Murray and Zach LaVine, starters and role players such as Bruce Brown, Dorian Finney-Smith, Royce O’Neale, Spencer Dinwiddie, Malcolm Brogdon, Dennis Schroeder, Tyus Jones, Andre Drummond, Danilo Gallinari, and more.

Murray has been the top trade target for the Lakers, with trade talks focused onD’Angelo Russell,Jalen Hood-Schifino, and a 2029 first-round pick, but Atlanta is unwilling to take on Russell and no third team in sight to send Russell, which has cast doubt Murray will be moved to Los Angeles.

Despite some reported speculation, the Nets haven’t had substantive conversations with the Lakers and Hawks about joining as a third team to take on Russell’s contract, HoopsHype has learned.

The Lakers have the future first-round pick Toronto desires for Brown but is hesitant to part with it because Brown is not viewed as the final piece to a championship Lakers puzzle, though he’d make the team better.

With the Lakers searching for depth amid the Jarred Vanderbilt injury, perhaps there’s a trade that could involve some of Brooklyn’s trio of Finney-Smith, O’Neale, and Dinwiddie.

Other interest in Brogdon, Schroeder, Jones, etc., appears to have quieted with only a few hours until the deadline.

LaVine talks were described as on “life support” by Lakers reporter Jovan Buha recently on The HoopsHype Podcast.

Barring renewed talks, the Lakers appear headed for a relatively quiet deadline.

Memphis Grizzlies

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (15)

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Steven Adams trade, clearing his $12.6 million salary for next season off the books, was the first cost-cutting move for Memphis, followed by trading Xavier Tillman to Boston. With Memphis projected to be over the tax heading into the 2024-25 season, the Grizzlies were concerned they’d lose Tillman in unrestricted free agency for nothing.

Meanwhile, amid a down season for Memphis, Vince Williams and GG Jackson have made the most of their playing time and emerged as rotation players. Jackson has also put himself in the conversation to have his two-way contract converted to a standard NBA contract, as Williams did earlier this season. Keep an eye on Memphis to lock up Jackson with a multi-year standard NBA contract.

Rival executives believe Memphis’ rookie-scale players under contract, including Ziaire Williams, Jake LaRavia, and David Roddy, could become expendable trade candidates, given the rise of Williams and Jackson.

Grizzlies forward John Konchar has also drawn exploratory interest from several playoff-caliber teams considering additions to bolster their bench depth.

The Grizzlies remain engaged with the Pistons on a potential Killian Hayes trade with the sticking point currently being draft pick compensation, league sources told HoopsHype.

Miami Heat

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (16)

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Following Miami’s splash to acquire Terry Rozier, rival executives are monitoring the potential trade availability of Caleb Martin, given Miami’s salary books looking ahead.

With Miami projected to be over the luxury tax next season and Martin having a $7.1 million player option this summer, rival executives around the league question whether Miami will be able to retain Martin if he declines his player option and enters free agency. The current expectation is that Martin will indeed decline his player option and become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Milwaukee Bucks

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (17)

Stacy Revere/Getty Images

The Milwaukee Bucks remain aggressive in search of defensive wing players and have been linked to several players, including Golden State’s Andrew Wiggins, Brooklyn’s Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale, Cleveland’s Isaac Okoro, etc.

Another player the Bucks have expressed trade interest in is Dennis Schroeder, league sources told HoopsHype.

With that in mind, Bucks forwards Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton, guard Cameron Payne, and a 2024 second-round pick have been discussed in various trade concepts.

Minnesota Timberwolves

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (18)

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly found their backup point guard by acquiring Monte Morris from Detroit. Morris reunites with Timberwolves executive Tim Connelly after both spent time together as part of the Denver Nuggets.

Morris proved to be a cheaper trade target than other players the Timberwolves expressed interest in, such as Tyus Jones – who would’ve been difficult for Minnesota to re-sign this summer – Alec Burks, and Bones Hyland – who’s available for multiple second-round picks, as HoopsHype reported.

Looking ahead, the Timberwolves are also hopeful to re-sign starting point guard and veteran leader Mike Conley this summer, as previously reported on HoopsHype. Conley, 36, is among the notable free agents available this summer.

New Orleans Pelicans

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (19)

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Pelicans emerged as a team with interest in Hawks guard Dejounte Murray, Wednesday with talks reportedly involving Onyeka Okongwu and Clint Capela in different concepts kicked around.

For New Orleans, among the names to keep an eye on in those talks is center Jonas Valanciunas. The Lithuanian center will become an unrestricted free agent this summer and is a player the Pelicans are unsure if they’ll be able to retain.

New York Knicks

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (20)

Michael Reaves/Getty Images

The Knicks have had recent trade discussions involving Bruce Brown and Alec Burks in separate trade talks.

New York discussed the idea of Evan Fournier and a first-round pick with Toronto for Brown, league sources told HoopsHype. However, New York was looking to part with a first-round pick in the 2024 draft, considered a weak draft class, and that didn’t appeal to Toronto, sources said. Both sides have since haggled over whether they can agree on a future first-round pick, HoopsHype has learned. It’s worth noting some in New York believe Brown would be a redundant player. And while he was the team’s top offseason free agent target, there’s no urgency to overpay for him with the team playing well following the OG Anunoby acquisition.

Should the Knicks acquire another guard, one would logically think Quentin Grimes would be moved in a separate trade to avoid a logjam at the position. Atlanta is among the teams that covet Grimes on the trade market, league sources told HoopsHype. Dallas also proposed a trade for Grimes a couple of weeks ago involving Josh Green weeks ago, which was rejected by New York, league sources told HoopsHype.

The Knicks have kicked the tires on Fournier’s expiring contract, a future first-round pick, and Quentin Grimes with Atlanta in trade talks for Dejounte Murray, league sources told HoopsHype. However, New York has been rolling since the acquisition of Anunoby and some within the organization question the fit of Murray next to Jalen Brunson, while others believe Murray’s ability to alleviate ball-handling responsibilities and his on-ball defensive form of old in San Antonio could help the team.

Other players who’ve drawn interest from the Knicks on the trade market include Utah’s Jordan Clarkson and Kelly Olynyk and Cleveland’s Isaac Okoro, but those talks hadn’t advanced past an exploratory stage, league sources said.

One executive believes the Knicks don’t need to make a move, however, and are already one of the top teams in the East if fully healthy going into the playoffs.

I think the Knicks are the second-best team in the East,” a rival NBA general manager told HoopsHype. “I don’t want to see the Celtics and the Knicks in the playoffs. Then Milwaukee and Philly. It’s amazing watching Jalen Brunson. That motherf***** just finds a way. I’d take him over Tyrese Haliburton. I’d consider taking him over Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He’s got the perfect coach for him in Tom Thibodeau. Anunoby has been great for them. Donte DiVincenzo is shooting like Steph Curry all of a sudden too.”

Oklahoma City Thunder

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (21)

Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma City Thunder are considered the sleeping giant of the NBA trade landscape at any time given all the future draft capital and talented young players on the roster.

Occasionally, Oklahoma City has been linked to a player such as Brooklyn’s Dorian Finney-Smith, for example, but many rival executives expect the Thunder to ride out the season with the young core and see how far Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, and Josh Giddey can lead the team before making a potential big trade.

Orlando Magic

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (22)

Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

The Orlando Magic have gauged the trade market on the expiring contract of Markelle Fultz and have considered potential point guard upgrades.

Tyus Jones was a player Orlando had expressed trade interest in, as reported by HoopsHype. Should Orlando fail to trade for him now, he’ll be a name to monitor for the Magic in free agency in a few months.

Chris Paul was reportedly linked to the Magic, but talks didn’t advance far, league sources told HoopsHype.

Wendell Carter Jr. had his name floated as a potential trade candidate earlier this season, but has since returned from injury to reclaim his starting center spot, and with an affordable declining salary through the 2025-26 season, that chatter has lessened.

Overall, Orlando is seemingly not in a rush to make a trade and is open to letting this young core have a chance to see how far it can go this season before a big offseason.

Philadelphia 76ers

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (23)

Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images

The Philadelphia 76ers have remained active in trade talks for several potential impact players, including DeMar DeRozan, Bojan Bogdanovic, Kelly Olynyk, Malcolm Brogdon, Buddy Hield, Andre Drummond, and others.

Most of those trade conversations have happened more earnestly over the past couple of days except for DeRozan. Heading into Wednesday night, there was a gap in talks for Brogdon and Hield, with the Sixers focusing more on a Bogdanovic pursuit that stalled as the night went on, league sources told HoopsHype. It remains to be seen if Philadelphia and Detroit will circle back on Bogdanovic talks in the morning.

Philadelphia has dangled the expiring contracts of Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, and future draft picks in various trade talks, league sources told HoopsHype.

Keep an eye on Furkan Korkmaz and Danuel House to potentially be moved to help the Sixers avoid the luxury tax for this season.

Phoenix Suns

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (24)

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Suns are looking to upgrade on the wing and have expressed interest in several players, including Miles Bridges, Royce O’Neale, Jae’Sean Tate, and others.

Nassir Little and multiple second-round picks have been dangled in trade talks for O’Neale and Tate, league sources told HoopsHype.

Phoenix is also open to adding another frontcourt bench player.

Should either position not be filled via the trade market, the Suns will look to be aggressive in the buyout market to fortify their depth for what they hope will be a championship run.

Portland Trail Blazers

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (25)

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Entering the season, rival NBA executives pegged Jerami Grant, Robert Williams, and Malcolm Brogdon as Portland’s top trade candidates.

Grant has since picked up where he left off last season as a consistent 3-point shooter and one of Portland’s leading scorers. While teams have poked around on Grant, they’ve been met with resistance from the Trail Blazers, who want to keep Grant.

Brogdon has drawn interest from several teams, including the 76ers, Knicks, Lakers, and Rockets most notably, league sources said. While the prevailing thought from rival executives for months was a future first-round pick could land Brogdon, Portland has resisted moving Brogdon and rival teams are skeptical Portland will part with the veteran guard by Thursday’s deadline.

Of the teams listed, Philadelphia appears to be the most interested at this point in acquiring Brogdon and the 76ers have the worthwhile draft capital to acquire him if the team wants to make an aggressive offer.

Williams drew interest most notably from Houston, but then the Rockets acquired Steven Adams.

Sacramento Kings

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (26)

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Sacramento Kings kicked the tires on what a package of Kevin Huerter and Harrison Barnes could command on the trade market dating back to the G League Showcase, league sources told HoopsHype.

While that package churned the rumor mill at various points in connection with Bulls guard Zach LaVine and Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma, those talks never materialized into much significance.

Former No. 9 overall pick Davion Mitchell, who’s been available on the trade market for months, has regained his backup point guard role for now, but it remains to be seen if he’ll maintain that role by the deadline.

The Kings are one of several teams who’ve expressed trade interest in Wizards guard Delon Wright and Nets swingman Royce O’Neale, league sources told HoopsHype. Sacramento has several second-round picks it could dangle to pursue Wright and O’Neale.

Sacramento has also been reportedly linked to Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith and has several future first-round picks if the Kings want to get aggressive in their pursuit of Finney-Smith.

San Antonio Spurs

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (27)

Daniel Dunn-USA TODAY Sports

San Antonio continues to gauge the trade market on veterans Doug McDermott, Cedi Osman, and Devonte Graham for future draft pick compensation, league sources told HoopsHype.

McDermott and Osman will enter unrestricted free agency this summer. Graham is owed a guaranteed $2.85 million of his $12.65 million non-guaranteed salary for next season.

The Spurs are also among the teams interested in trading for Wizards guard Tyus Jones, which could pair him with his brother, Tre, in San Antonio. The brothers have kicked around the idea of playing together one day, league sources told HoopsHype, which could be notable when Tyus enters unrestricted free agency this summer.

Toronto Raptors

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (28)

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

After making two splashes by trading OG Anunoby to the Knicks and Pascal Siakam to the Pacers, the Toronto Raptors are still in the mix for more moves before the trade deadline.

Since acquiring Bruce Brown in the Siakam trade, Toronto has sought at least one first-round pick in trade talks, according to rival executives who’ve registered trade interest. Should the Raptors not get their desired pick, Toronto has left open the possibility of exercising Brown’s $23 million team option for next season and delaying a possible trade until the summer or before the 2025 trade deadline.

As noted above in New York’s section, the Knicks kicked around the idea of Evan Fournier and a first-round pick for Brown, league sources told HoopsHype. However, New York was looking to part with a first-round pick in the 2024 draft, which is considered a weak draft class, and that didn’t appeal to Toronto, sources said. Both sides have since haggled over whether they can agree on a future first-round pick, HoopsHype has learned. It’s worth noting some in New York believe Brown would be a redundant player, and while he was the team’s top offseason free agent target, there’s no urgency to overpay for him with the team playing well following the OG Anunoby acquisition.

The Lakers have also flirted with the idea of trading for Brown, but their priority has been acquiring Dejounte Murray from the Hawks, sources said. Dallas also expressed interest in trading for Brown, as previously reported by HoopsHype.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Utah Jazz have also engaged in trade talks for Brown surrounding Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji. The Raptors have always favored Canadian players such as Olynyk in their home market and Agbaji was a former lottery pick in 2022. However, Olynyk will be an unrestricted free agent after this season and it’s unclear if Toronto would be able to re-sign him, which is something to keep in mind as the Raptors discuss other trade concepts.

Meanwhile, point guard Dennis Schroeder has drawn interest on the trade market, including from the Bucks, HoopsHype has learned.

Gary Trent Jr. has drawn exploratory interest from teams, league sources told HoopsHype. Trent Jr. is shooting a career-high 42.5 percent from 3-point range and will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The expiring contracts of Otto Porter Jr. and Thaddeus Young are also available in trade talks, league sources told HoopsHype.

Utah Jazz

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (29)

Steph Chambers/Getty Images

Utah’s Kelly Olynyk and Jordan Clarkson are the team’s top two trade candidates ahead of the deadline.

Olynyk has drawn significant interest across the league, including from the 76ers, Celtics, Rockets, Knicks, Heat, Warriors, and more teams.

Multiple NBA executives who’ve tried to trade for Olynyk told HoopsHype the Jazz are seeking draft pick compensation, preferably at least a first-round pick, in trade talks.

The Knicks also expressed trade interest in Olynyk and Clarkson around early to mid-January, league sources told HoopsHype.

Defensive stopper Kris Dunn has drawn reported interest from the Boston Celtics, but coach Will Hardy has praised his impact on the team, and a league source told HoopsHype that Utah expects to keep Dunn past the trade deadline, barring an unexpected offer they can’t refuse.

Looking ahead, Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen is expected to remain with the Jazz past the deadline and eventually discuss the possibility of a renegotiation and extension down the line, league sources told HoopsHype.

Washington Wizards

NBA Trade Deadline Rumors: The latest intel on all 30 teams (30)

Patrick Smith/Getty Images

The Washington Wizards are among the few potential sellers on the trade market.

While Kyle Kuzma is considered the top trade asset on the team’s roster by rival executives, he’s also the player who’ll cost the most for any team trying to acquire him. The Wizards would need multiple future first-round picks beyond the 2024 draft with the potential to become lottery picks to consider parting with Kuzma, as HoopsHype previously reported. Washington has made it clear to rival executives that the Wizards value Kuzma, whose salary declines through the 2026-27 season and is seen as a positive trade asset around the league.

Tyus Jones has drawn trade interest from the Magic, Spurs, Nets, Lakers, and Timberwolves, league sources told HoopsHype. With Minnesota acquiring Monte Morris from the Pistons, the Timberwolves are now out of the Jones sweepstakes. It’s also worth noting a reported offer of four second-round picks by Minnesota for Jones was never made, league sources told HoopsHype. As recently reported by HoopsHype, Washington would covet a future first-round pick to consider parting with Jones. The Wizards value Jones as a potential piece going forward and are open to re-signing him in free agency this summer, league sources told HoopsHype.

Delon Wright is expected to command second-round draft pick compensation in trade talks, league sources told HoopsHype. Wright has drawn trade interest from the Celtics, Kings, and Timberwolves, league sources said. The Nuggets were also mentioned recently by Marc Stein. Similar to Jones, Wright is off the board for Minnesota after the Morris acquisition. Of the three players listed, Wright is the most likely candidate to be traded, league sources told HoopsHype.
