Chicken wings

Americans love chicken wings. The hunger for chicken wings is so great that the average consumer eats about 300 wings a year. That number could go up next Sunday as 1.45 billion chicken wings are expected to be eating during Super Bowl LVIII.

According to the National Chicken Council, 1.45 billion wings is enough for every man, woman and child in the United States to eat four wings each. If laid end-to-end, those wings would stretch 1/3 of the way to the moon.

"One of these days, Buffalo will get back to the Big Game which would give wing consumption a nice boost," National Chicken Council spokesperson Tom Super said in a statement. "Maybe we'll see Taylor Swift breaking out the 'seemingly ranch' again, to dip a wing in this time, though."
