White Teacher Magic Mushroom History
There is little known of the origins of the White Teacher psilocybin mushroom strain. All we know is that an experienced mycologist crossed the highly popular Golden Teacher and Albino Penis Envy mushroom strains to create the unique White Teacher mushroom.
We know Golden Teachers burst into the mushroom scene back in the 1980’s, which are believed to have first been discovered growing in Florida.
We also know that the Penis Envy strain originated from an Amazonian mushroom with help from Terence McKenna and Steven Pollock, who found the initial spores and also cultured them into what they are today. After Penis Envy’s rise to fame, Albino Penis Envy followed shortly after.
We can determine that the White Teacher magic mushroom is a lab made mushroom and would never have survived in the wild. We know this because all of the Penis Envy variations (including APE) were created by mycologists through countless hours of trial and error.
Growing White Teacher Envy Shrooms
If cultivating rare and unique shrooms is something you enjoy, then growing the White Teacher magic mushroom will be right up your alley. Since White teachers share characteristics from both Golden Teachers and Albino Penis Envy mushrooms, they fall somewhere in the middle in regards to cultivation difficulty.
This strain’s colonization time averages from 10 to 20 days in the right conditions, although it can take longer. Keeping your incubation room between 24°C and 27°C will greatly aid with the colonization process. Collecting spores from the White Teacher is difficult but not impossible because of its relationship to the Golden Teacher.
Since White Teachers were developed in a lab, contamination control will be cultivators largest challenge. Ensure your work space and fruiting areas are super clean and going above and beyond when sterilizing grain and substrate, will provide the greatest chances of successful cultivation.
With the application of the correct nutrients, one can expect average flushes of White Teacher mushrooms. White Teachers thrive in sub-tropical climates, keep the fruiting chamber between 22°C and 25°C and avoid letting the temperature rise above 25°C or contamination will become an issue. For nutrient rich bulk substrate we recommend using our pre-mixed substrate and for spawn White Teachers like grain, organic rye or oats will do the trick.
Appearance of the White Teacher Strain
Drawing characteristics from both APE and GT the White Teacher can be described as a more extreme looking Golden Teacher mushroom that’s white in color. Its stem is thick but not as thick as the Penis Envy strain and its cap is quite bulbous looking.
White Teachers are white in color and display hues of grayish blue and often show signs of blue bruising which depicts the strains high psilocybin content.
This white psilocybe cubensis mushroom stems are quite thick and stocky and can reach heights of 2 to 3 inches, while their caps can span up to 3 inches in diameter.
Psychedelic Effects of White Teacher Mushrooms
The White Teacher magic mushroom strain has high levels of psilocybin, not as much as APE or Penis Envy but don’t sleep on White Teachers, they pack a powerful punch. Those who consume psychedelic mushrooms such as the White Teachers should expect to feel effects approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours after eating the shroom. Effects from the shroom vary greatly from person to person, determining factors include: diet, metabolism, weight and environment.
Psychedelic adventurers can expect to experience feelings of euphoria, paranoia, enhanced visuals, light distortion, spiritual, peacefulness, emotional clarity, introspection and giddiness. These effects can last up to six hours, although these effects normally peak around hour two or three.
